HELP SAVE RHV!

There are two easy ways for each of us to directly help save RHV:

First:
Money talks. Unfortunately that’s the way government works. CRAMP was formed around 20 years ago by Bill Dunn (now with AOPA) to combat the County’s attempt to levy “user fees” on RHV tenants. CRAMP raised tens of thousands of dollars and beat the County in court. With the County trying to close RHV again, CRAMP’s Political Action Committee (CRAMP-PAC) needs to refill its coffers. $10 contributions won’t do it. I’m asking everyone who values the importance of RHV to consider contributing $100 (or more) to the CRAMP-PAC. Twenty years ago, that was a lot of money. Today it’s about one hour of flight time or dinner out with the family. I’ll be talking with the FBOs individually to contribute substantially more. This attempt to close RHV is serious and we can’t battle it on the cheap. We need to raise at least $10,000 quickly. Don’t leave it for others to contribute. If you do, we’ll fail. We all need to step up on this one.

Please mail PAC contributions to:
John Blair
CRAMP-PAC Treasurer
2010 Majestic Way
San Jose, CA 95132

The check must be made out to “CRAMP-PAC.” In addition, state finance law requires that I keep records of your name, address, employer’s name, and job title. Please note that political contributions are not tax deductible. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (408) 926-5123.

Second (and equally important):
There are over 6000 registered pilots in Santa Clara County. Right now we have less than two hundred pilots on this email list. Do the math. We need all local pilots to be aware of what is going on and this email list is the single best way to get information out to them. Please ask your pilot friends to subscribe. If you run an FBO, please forward this message to your members, recommending that they join. We need thousands on this list, not hundreds. Elected officials are influenced by large numbers of people.
